Nathan Gaylord Van Alstine was born Dec. 25, 1920 to William and Pearl Tubbs Van Alstine. He died Oct. 7, 1944 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.

Sgt. Van Alstine served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 578th Bomber Squadron, 382nd Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA/FOD in Germany.

Clair Archibald VanEps was born Jan. 21, 1915 to Henry Archibald and Clara Belle Allen VanEps. He died Mar. 24, 1945 and is buried in Fulton Township Cemetery, Moorland, IA.

Petty Officer VanEps served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and died while working with a survey party on Iwo Jima. He was attacked from behind by the enemy, using small arms fire.

Robert Claude VanGundy was born June 6, 1921 to Claude and Edna Mae West VanGundy. He died June 11, 2003 and is buried in North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA.

Robert served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Donn Bernard Van Winkle was born Oct. 1, 1926 to Benjamin and Leona Plesinger Van Winkle. He died Aug. 25, 1946 and is buried in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA. 

Sgt. Van Winkle served in World War II with the U.S. Army 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Division and was stationed in Seoul, Korea at the time of his death.
