Dean Earnest Taylor was born Sept. 25, 1918 to John Earnest and Maud Echelberger Taylor. He died Sept. 7, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Sgt. Taylor served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Headquarters Squadron, 5th Air Base Group and was MIA and became a Japanese POW. He died when the Shinyo Maru, a Japanese freighter, on which he was a passenger was sunk. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Virgil O. Taylor was born Apr. 6, 1924 to John Ernest and Maude M. Echelberger Taylor. He died July 23, 1969 and is buried in North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA.

Cpl. Taylor served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps Regimental Headquarters, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.
