Raymond Eugene Beam was born Sept. 12, 1925 to Everett S. and Carrie L. Putney Beam. He died Nov. 1, 1944 and is buried in Allerton Cemetery, Allerton, IA. 

Sgt. Beam served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 38th Bomb Squadron and died in the line of duty from an accidental gun shot wound.
