Leo Bernard Walsh was born Feb. 13, 1911 to Cornelius William and Pelagia Amelia Birrer Walsh. He died Apr. 28, 1949 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Riverside, IA.

Petty Officer Walsh served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

William Otis Weaver was born Dec. 1, 1908 to Harry Otis and Alma Ann Neuse Weaver. He died Apr. 13, 1991 and is buried in Wapello Cemetery, Wapello, IA.

Capt. Weaver served in World War II with the U.S. Army as Chief of Classification Branch, Seventh Service Command, War Dept. Offices in Baltimore, MD.

Norman Fleak White was born July 22, 1921 to Lawrence E. and Lydia May Fleak White. He died Aug. 20, 2010 and is buried in Seaside Memorial Park, Corpus Christi, TX.

2nd Lt. White served in World War II with the U.S Army Air Corps 68th Squadron, 433rd Troop Carrier Group flying from bases in New Guinea to the Philippines. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters among other awards and citations. He retired as Lt. Col. from the U.S. Air Force.

Harry Leonard Whittaker was born June 15, 1924 to Martin and Martha Jones Whittaker. He died Apr. 1, 1948. Harry served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Gilbert Alex Wood was born May 15, 1924 to Roy Eugene and Alma LeVesta Riegel Wood. He died Jan. 15, 2013 and is buried in Ainsworth Cemetery, Ainsworth, IA.

Sgt. Wood served in World War II with the U.S. Army 87th Division, 347th Infantry.

Creighton Hale Workman was born Jan. 9, 1919 to Lee and Marietta Marsh Workman. He died Dec. 7, 1941 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 2, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Ainsworth Cemetery, Ainsworth, IA.

Petty Officer Workman served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Oklahoma (BB-37) and was MIA/FOD/KIA in the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
