Clair Eugene Roberts was born June 14, 1918 to Monte T. and Maud Pearl Stewart Roberts. He died Feb. 12, 1945 and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril, IA.

1st Lt. Roberts served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was killed in a plane crash near Troy, Oregon.

Eugene Nelson Robinson was born Oct. 23, 1923 to Dee and Syble Reck Robinson. He died Feb. 15, 2004 and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril, IA.

Eugene served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Melvin Joseph Roth was born Apr. 17, 1914 to Henry and Cora B. Christy Roth. He died Nov. 10, 2002 and is buried in Primrose Cemetery, Lee County, IA.

Pvt. Roth served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Keith Edwin Roush was born Feb. 22, 1925 to Samuel Ray and Elsie Claire Backer Roush. He died Dec. 27, 1944 and is buried in Harness Cemetery, Mount Sterling, IA.

Pvt. Roush served in World War II with the U.S. Army with the U.S. Army Company G, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd “All American” Airborne Division. Pvt. Roush jumped into Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944 and was slightly wounded in action on June 22, 1944. He rejoined the company in August and then participated in the Holland jump where he was listed as seriously wounded in action on Sept. 17, 1944. He was able to again rejoin his company on Nov. 23, 1944 and was KIA during the Battle of The Bulge on Dec. 22, 1944.
