Robert Donald Rectenbaugh was born Dec. 31, 1927 to Albert Wilbur and Fairy Onia Perkins Rectenbaugh. He died May 10, 2015 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Creston, IA

Senior Chief Rectenbaugh served with the U.S. Navy in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He retired after 24 years in the Navy and continued to serve his country by working as a civil servant for 20 years at the Navy Public Works Center in Norfolk, VA.

Leo Germain Rechtsteiner was born Dec. 30, 1908 to Martin and Agatha Reich Rechtsteiner. He died Oct. 22, 1944 and is buried in Holy Cross Abbey Cemetery, Fremont County, CO. 

Capt. Father Rechtsteiner served as a Chaplain with the U.S. Army and was KIA on Leyte, Philippine Islands. He was living in Creston, IA at the time of his entry into the armed services.

Hoyt Allen Ross was born Mar. 12, 1913 to Charles William and Leanore Victoria Allen Ross. He died Dec. 19, 1943 and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. 

Maj. Ross served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Second Service Squadron, Fifth Air Force in Australia.

Merrill Dean Rowland was born Jan. 5, 1927 to Arthur John and Mary Phyllis Sparr Rowland. He died Apr. 19, 1946 and is buried in Cromwell Cemetery, Cromwell, IA.

Petty Officer Rowland served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Virgo (AKA-20).
