George W. Marchek was born July 14, 1912 to Frank M. and Agnes V. Mitchell Marchek. He died Dec. 20, 1945 and is buried in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Omaha, NE. 

Pvt. Marchek served with the U.S. Army Air Corps 3701st Base Unit. He was living in Creston, IA prior to his entry in the armed services.

Wendell Boyd McCartney was born Nov. 4, 1924 to Jay Boyd and Mae Louise McCahon McCartney. He died June 12, 1989 and is buried in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Hodges, SC.

Wendell served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.

Robert Harrison Means was born Apr. 12, 1919 to Otha H. and Alpha A. Webb Means. He died Dec. 11, 1995 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Creston, IA.

Robert served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 13th Fighter Squadron, 53rd Fighter Group.

Daryl Burr Miler was born June 23, 1922 to Burr Oliver and Leota Mary Hammer Miler. He died Oct. 1, 1945/FOD Oct. 2, 1946 and is buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, KY. 

Petty Officer Miler served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was MIA when the plane in which he was flying, a unit of Patrol Bombing Squadron 119, based at Clark Field, Manila, Philippines, failed to return from a reconnaissance flight.
