Charles E. “Chuck" Redmon was born in 1916 to Clarence A. and Jessie Pearl Gravitt Redmon. He died in 1976 and is buried in Ames Municipal Cemetery, Ames, IA.

Cpl. Redmon served in World War II with the U.S. Army with the American Expeditionary Forces. He served in Great Britain and North Africa and was injured in action.
