Capt. Pedersen served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Tenth Air Force Headquarters in India as a P-47 pilot for the “Burma Banshees”. He was awarded the China-Burma-India theater of operations ribbon with two campaign stars, three Air Medals and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
