He was awarded one service stripe, two overseas bars, American Campaign medal, European, African, Middle Eastern theater ribbon with three bronze battle stars, Good Conduct medal and World War II Victory Medal. While stationed in Germany, Pfc. Foshe had the distinction of being appointed honor guard to President Harry S. Truman and General Eisenhower, during Mr. Truman’s tour of the devastated areas of Europe.
