Lt. Coy served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 587th Squadron, 394th Bomb Group, 9th Air Force, serving in England, France, Holland and Germany. He was awarded the Air Medal with one silver Oak Leaf Cluster.

Francis Bernard Coyle, Jr. was born Sept. 13, 1921 to Francis B. (Sr.) and Eileen R. Ready Coyle. He died Feb. 4, 2004 and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Lt. Coyle served in World War II with the U.S. Army 4th Infantry Regiment.
