Patrick Thomas Callahan was born Dec. 6, 1922 to William Thomas and Esther Joan Hansen Callahan. He died June 2, 1993 and is buried in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.

Petty Officer Callahan served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Robert Henry Canfield was born May 30, 1918 to Henry Leonard and Mildred Sprott Canfield. He died Apr. 1, 1945 and is memorialized in Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport, IA and at the Courts of the Missing, Court 7, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Lt. Canfield served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 873rd Bomber Squadron, 498th Bomber Group, Very Heavy and was aboard ‘Joltin’ Josie, The Pacific Pioneer’ #42-24614 and was MIA/KIA when that plane suffered an explosion shortly after takeoff from Saipan Atol and crashed into the sea. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.

James F. Carlin was Jan. 31, 1925 to Charles Vince and Agnes Mary Britt Carlin. He died Aug. 26, 1944 and is buried in Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France.

Sgt. Carlin served in World War II with the U.S. Army 315th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division and was KIA in France and awarded the Purple Heart.

Joseph Leo Carney, Jr. was born Apr. 19, 1924 to Joseph Leo (Sr.) and Gladys May Mefferd Carney. He died Sept. 23, 1944.

Pvt. Carney served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. A, 505th Parachute Infantry and was KIA in Holland.

Russell Eugene Carrico was born June 1, 1912 to Clyde and Ida Carrico. He died Feb. 29, 1944/FOD Jan. 14, 1946 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 5, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Lt. JG Carrico served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Trout (SS-202) which was sunk in the Philippine Basin, probably by depth charge attack. He had previously served aboard the USS Gar (SS-206). He was awarded the Silver and Bronze Stars and Purple Heart.

Harold E. Cassatt, Jr. was born Mar. 15, 1924 to Harold E. (Sr.) and Chloe May Carruthers Cassatt. He died Apr. 25, 1944 and is buried in Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton, IA.

Pvt. Cassatt served in World War II with the U.S. Army 121st Field Artillery Battalion, 32nd Division and died in Saior, New Guinea while in the service of his country.
