Carl Wilford Peterson was born Oct. 1, 1916 to Charles and Alice Kullberg Peterson. He died May 12, 1944 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial, Nettuno, Italy and has a cenotaph in Odebolt Cemetery, Odebolt, IA.

Sgt. Peterson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 337th Infantry, 85th Division and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Everett Paul Pyle was born Jan. 12, 1921 to Emmet and Grace B. McIntosh Pyle. He died Apr. 10, 1945 and is buried in Schaller Cemetery, Schaller, IA.

Sgt. Pyle served in World War II with the U.S. Army 383rd Infantry and was KIA on Okinawa Island.
