Sgt. Lake served in World War II with the U.S. Army 94th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, 14th Armored Division.

Amos Walton Laport was born Nov. 21, 1908/1909 to Emmer E. and Minnie Belle Phillips Laport. He died Aug. 21, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. 

Sgt. Laport served in World War II with the U.S. Army 743rd Tank Battalion and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
