John William Beardsley was born Nov. 6, 1919 to John and Margaret Anna Louise Lang Beardsley. He died Dec. 22, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint Avold, France. 

Pvt. Beardsley served in World War II with the U.S. Army 346th Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Division. He was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
