William Emory Miller, Jr. was born Mar. 11, 1909 to William Emory (Sr.) and Flora L. Barnett Miller. He died May 16, 1943 and is buried in Earlham Cemetery, Earlham, IA.

Pvt. Miller served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Emery Leroy Morrison was born Oct. 10, 1916 to Guy Alvia and Louia Ellen Bale Morrison. He died June 6, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France and has a cenotaph in Hazelwood Cemetery Grinnell, IA.

Petty Officer Morrison served in World War II with the U.S. Navy USS Landing Craft, Flotilla 31 on the Normandy beach head on D-Day. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
