Garrett Alma Walling was born June 14, 1922 to David.and Effie Sandage Walling. He died Jan. 14, 1945 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery.

Pvt. Walling served in World War II with the U.S. Army 506th Paratroop Infantry Regiment 101st Airborne Division and was KIA in action at Bastogne, Belgium (Battle of the Bulge). He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Devere Simon and Freole Placek Watson Family

George Morgan Watson was born Aug. 8, 1926 to Devere Simon and Freole Placek Watson. He died Feb. 10, 2020 and is buried in Parkwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, Baltimore, MD.

Coxswain Watson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy assigned to LST 1105 where he served on a LCVP (landing craft vehicle personnel.)

Jack Wilbur Watson was born July 21, 1916 to Devere Simon and Freole Placek Watson. He died Apr. 15, 1991 in Memphis, TN.

Jack served in World War II as a Naval Officer under Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. while assisting Allied Forces for the D-Day invasion.

Mac William Watson was born Nov. 25, 1924 to Devere Simon and Freole Placek Watson. He died July 24 1960 and is buried in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery, San Jacinto, CA.

1st Lt. Watson served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Rolland Leo Watts was born July 24, 1920 to Leroy and Geneva Luella Hough Watts. He died Dec. 6, 1948 and is buried in Crescent Cemetery, Crescent, IA.

Rolland served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II.
