Mac A. Palmer was born Nov. 30, 1911 to Leonard Lee and Anna E. Morey Palmer. He died May 23, 1977.

Maj. Palmer served in World War II with the U.S. Army 6th Engineer Special Brigade - HQ as Waterproofing and Recovery Officer. He was awarded the Bronze Star. He also served in Korea.

Gordon R. Penewit was born Sept. 29, 1923 to Jesse Herman and Clela Ida Wilson Penewit. He died Oct. 22, 1943 and is buried in Carson Cemetery, Carson, IA.

Pvt. Penewit served in World War II with the U.S. Army 168th Infantry, 34th Division.

Elmer Lee Petersen was born Sept. 5, 1919 to H. Carl and Anna Schroeder Petersen. He died Mar. 4 , 2014 and is buried in Grange Cemetery, Honey Creek, IA.

Elmer served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Robert Clark Pierce was born Dec. 14, 1913 to Charles and Winnie Lulu Rude Pierce. He died Nov. 22, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Cpl. Pierce served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 7th Material Squadron, 5th Air Base Group and was MIA and became a Japanese POW and died in Cabanatuan Prison Camp, Philippine Islands.

Robert Edward Putnam was born Oct. 6, 1921 to Ernest W. and Marie Wilhelmina Greve Putnam. He died Nov. 19, 1945 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Avoca, IA.

Robert served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
