Garland Joseph Slater, Jr. was born Oct. 1, 1923 to Garland Joseph (Sr.) and Evelyn Mae Coatney Slater. He died May 16, 2005 and is buried in Eagle Point Cemetery, Eagle Point, OR.

Cpl. Slater served in World War II with the U.S. Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Phillip Dean Slinker, Jr. was born Nov 10, 1926 to Phillip Dean (Sr.) and Irene Corbett Slinker. He died Feb. 14, 2011 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Petty Officer Slinker served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Stanley J. Slusark was born Jan. 5, 1923 to Frank and Mary Tomczyk Slusark. He died Sept. 30, 2017 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Sgt. Slusark served in World War II with the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division Ski Troops. He received two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars, and a battlefield promotion to Sergeant for bravery under fire. He fought the Germans in Italy and Yugoslavia and the Japanese in the Aleutian Islands.
