Daniel Ryan “Doc” Seidell was born Sept. 16, 1920 to Herbert A. and Edna Marie Ryan Seidell. He died Mar. 22, 1943/FOD Mar. 23, 1944 and has a cenotaph in Saint Ambrose Cemetery, Des Moines, IA. He is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. 

Ens. Seidell served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Amberjack (SS-219) and was lost at sea (probably sunk by depth charge attack). He was awarded the Purple Heart.

James Eugene Sellers was born Dec. 29, 1918 to William Thomas and Janet Cowan Sellers. He died Sept. 14, 2013 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

MSgt. Sellers served with the U.S. Army in World War II and Korea.

Paul Herman Seltz was born Oct. 28, 1921 to Paul Julius and Regina Margaretha Nibbe Seltz. He died Apr. 4, 2014 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Paul served in World War II with the U.S. Army as a Special Forces Ranger and was discharged as a 1st Lt. in the infantry. His service included time as an instructor in the South Pacific theatre, primarily in the Philippine Islands.

Joseph Walter Seward was born Oct. 19, 1918 to Joseph and Pearl Casey Seward. He died July 17, 2011 and has a cenotaph in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Sgt. Seward served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Lester Adolph “Adolph” Sexauer was born June 1, 1908 to Fred J. and Pearl McClung Sexauer. He died Oct. 26, 1945 and is buried in Greenwood Friends Cemetery, Polk County, IA. 

Lester served with the U.S. Army Military Police in World War II.
