Hollister Lovois Meadows was born Mar. 25, 1925 to Albert Lovois and Charlotte Dale Averill Meadows. He died Jan. 6, 2016 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Coxswain Meadows served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Stanley John Meadows was born Apr. 16, 1919 to Roy Allan and Mary Laura Clough Meadows. He died Aug. 3, 1944 and has a cenotaph in Sunny Hill Cemetery, Grimes, IA.

Stanley served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps, piloting C-47’s.

Roy Eric Mealman was born Feb. 28, 1924 to Albert Edgar and Della Olson Mealman. He died Sept. 23, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England.

Petty Officer Mealman served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/KIA in the Atlantic area in the line of duty. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Richard Wade Meredith was born Ma. 2, 1921 to Loren K. and Elizabeth Ruth Luman Meredith. He died Nov. 27, 1943 and is buried in Masonic Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

1st Lt. Meredith served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 308th Bomb Group and died on a Mission Commander on B-24 #43-73245 that was shot down and crashed near Rangoon, Myanmar (Burma).

Edward Gene Metge was born June 10, 1922 to Henry George and Maude Fale Metge. He died June 16, 2020 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Petty Officer Metge served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
