Henry L. Heberlee was born Dec. 9, 1921 to Albert and Kate Heberlee. He died Mar. 5, 1945 and is buried in Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE. He was originally interred in the Philippines. 

Sgt. Heberlee served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as Crew Chief on C-47A #43-15412, 40th Squadron, 317th Troop Carrier Group. He was MIA/KIA on a routine cargo mission.

Loyd B. Helming was born July 13, 1919 to Arthur Ben and Mary Lucile Brewer Helming.

Loyd served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Howard R. Helt was born Feb. 22, 1922. He died June 9, 1946 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Masonic Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

Sgt. Helt served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 4334th Bomber Squadron, 12th Bomber Group, Medium and was MIA in Burma. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.

Roy L. Helton was born Dec. 2, 1926 to Archie and Lea Yvette Bailey Helton. He died Feb. 13, 1948 and is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

Sgt. Helton served in World War II with the U.S. Army 63rd Infantry.

June Davis “J. D.” Hendrick, Jr. was born Nov. 19, 1912 to June D. (Sr.) and Annie McCool Hendrick. He died Feb. 2, 1980 and is buried in Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines, IA. J. D. served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Ralph Monroe Henery was born Jan. 10, 1923 to Emmet M. and Marilyn S. Henery. He died Feb. 4, 1997 and is buried in Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines, IA.

Ralph served in World War II with the U.S. Navy in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and Japan.

Patrick Henry was born Jan. 1, 1918 to Phineas McCray and Mildred Hippee Henry. He died July 30, 1997 .

Patrick served in World War II with the U.S. Army 6th Armored Infantry Regiment 1st Armored Division and 6th Armored Infantry Battalion, 1st Armored Division.

Louis Joseph Herr was born Oct. 19, 1926 to John G. and Margaret Webber Herr. He died Feb. 22, 2020 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Petty Officer Herr served with the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II.

Clyde Edsel Herring was born Mar. 24, 1915 to Clyde LaVerne and Emma Pearl Spinney Herring. He died Sept. 24, 1976.

Clyde served in World War II with the U.S. Army 168th Infantry, 34th Division in the European Theater of Operations. He was taken prisoner in 1943 in Tunisia and spent until 1945 in POW camps in Europe.

Parker Joseph Hession was born June 27, 1920 to Thomas Joseph and Shirley Grace Parker Hession. He died Sept. 28, 1948 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA. Parker served with the U.S. Marine Corps, 5th Marines, 1st Division in World War II.
