Benner Eugene “Gene” Graham was born Jan. 25, 1927 to Benner Virgil and Leona Viola Beck Graham. He died Sept. 29, 1945 and he is buried in Mitchellville Cemetery, Mitchellville, IA.

Petty Officer Graham served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Gerald Thiele Granat was born about 1922 to Max Michel and Elsie S. Granat. He died Dec. 10, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Granat served in World War II with the U.S. Naval Air Corps and was MIA and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart.

Raymond Edward Granger was born Oct. 14, 1922 to Lloyd and Hazel May Teague Granger. He died Dec. 7, 1941 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Petty Officer Granger served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Arizona (BB-39) when it was attacked at Pearl Harbor. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Petty Officer Griggs served in World War II with the U.S. Nary aboard the USS Indianapolis (CA-35) when it was sunk by a Japanese submarine. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

E. Fred Grove was born July 17, 1920 to Lloyd and Stella Minnie Leifheit Grove. He died Feb. 17, 2011 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

Fred served in World War II with the U.S. Army 1341st Combat Engineers in the South Pacific, including the battle of Okinawa.

Cyril G. Wolfe AKA Cyril Otto Gruening was born Apr. 29, 1901 to Otto and Agnes Lovejoy Gruening.He was the step-son of Roland R. Wolfe. He died Nov. 21, 1947 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

Sgt. Wolfe served in World War II with the U.S. Army 5th Ordnance Dept. at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland.
