William Paul Decker was born Feb. 25, 1916 to Clifford Benjamin and Icel Ellistine Gaines Decker. He died Aug. 14, 1969 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

Sgt. Decker served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Sydney Henry Dengle was born Sept. 15, 1919 to Joseph A. and Henrietta M. Stockman Dengle. He died Aug. 14, 2014 in Des Moines, IA.

Sgt. Dengle served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 95th Bomb Group in England. His plane was shot down over Rostock, Germany and he became a POW for 13 months.

John Bernard Dermott was born May 5, 1921 to James Chester and Edna Woolsoncroft Dermott. He died Jan. 7, 1945 and is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

Pvt. Dermott served in World War II with the U.S. Army 508th Parachute Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division.

Jack Lowell Dewey was born July 26, 1921 to Byrel and Helen L. Tanner Dewey. He died Nov. 6, 2016 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

1st Lt. Dewey served with the U.S. Army Air Corps In World War II. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and 4 Oak Leaf Clusters.
