Sgt. Cullen served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Charles L. Cunningham was born Jan. 3, 1918. He died Mar. 7, 1946 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Marlow Cemetery, Schuyler County, IL.

Sgt. Cunningham served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 424th Bomber Squadron, 307th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/FOD and was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
