Lawrence Joseph Ceretti was born Jan. 17, 1919 to Artemio and Domenica Riotti Ceretti. He died June 10, 1961 (lost at sea) and is memorialized at Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

Maj. Ceretti served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died in the crash of his C-133B Cargomaster after takeoff from Tachikawa Air Base, Japan.
