Loren and Dorothy Wilson Beeler Family

Allen Wilson Beeler was born Apr. 17, 1921 to Loren and Dorothy Wilson Beeler. He died May 22, 1944/FOD Apr. 11, 1946 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Taguig City, Phillipines and has a cenotaph in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

He served as a Sergeant and Radio Operator on C-47 #41-38709, 2nd Troop Carrier Squadron. He became MIA on a Cargo Drop Mission over Myitkyina, Burma (Myanmar) when his plane crashed due to bad weather in the remote mountains of Burma. The crash site was discovered in 1987 and some of the remains were recovered at that time. It is unsure whose remains were and were not recovered.

Harmon Calvin Beeler was born Oct. 5, 1924 to Loren and Dorothy Wilson Beeler. He died Dec. 25, 1995 and is buried in Chapel Hill Gardens, Des Moines, IA.

Harmon served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Richard Beeler was born Apr. 28, 1926 to Loren and Dorothy Wilson Beeler. He died June 21, 2016 and has a cenotaph in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Petty Officer Beeler served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Marion Arnold Benson was born Oct. 21, 1921 to Leon and Leona May Arnold Benson. He died June 17, 1944 and is buried in Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France.

Lt. Benson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 514th Fighter Squadron, 406th Fighter Group and was MIA/FOD in Normandy, France. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
