Donald Maclean Dalton was born Aug. 1893 to Thomas Arthur and Julia Fitch Maclean Dalton. He was the stepson of Edwin A. Dalton. He died Oct. 14, 1946 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Capt. 

Dalton served with the U.S. Navy in World War I and World War II. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1915 and for many years was assigned to the submarine service. He also served at the Navy Bureau of Engineering in D.C. and during WWII he was a member of the Navy Board of Inspection and Survey in San Francisco.
