Eugene Rudolph Victor Palenske was born Oct. 16, 1919 to William and Ada Rocklege Palenske. He died Apr. 9, 1945 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands. 

1st Sgt. Palenske served in World War II with the U.S. Army 386th Infantry Regiment, 97th Infantry Division. He was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Richard Ferdinand Poss was born June 18, 1927 to John and Anna Osterholt Poss. He died Jan. 25, 1946 and is buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Ashton, IA.
