Johannes “Joe” Hof was born Sept. 28, 1920 to John and Annie Postma Hof. He died Feb. 5, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Sgt. Hof served in World War II with the U.S. Army 20th Infantry Regiment, 6th Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action on Luzon, Philippine Islands and was awarded the Purple Heart.

James Franlin “Frank” Hols was born Jan. 30, 1919 to Jacob and Lema McMahan Hols. He died Mar. 23, 1945 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. 

Pvt. Hols served in World War II with the U.S. Army 78th Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
