Donald Darwin Bailey was born Dec. 28, 1913 to George Andrew and Emma Adelaide Rush Bailey. He died Feb. 3, 1991 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, IA.

Sgt. Bailey served in World War II with the U.S. Army 3156th Ordnance Base Artillery Fire Central Company. He was awarded 3 Bronze Service Stars, European Theatre Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Marksmanship Medal. He also served in Korea.

Edwin Clark Bailey was born Feb. 13, 1926 to Russell and Annabelle Harseth Bailey. He died Jan. 14, 1945 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium.

Sgt. Bailey served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 7th Bomber Squadron, 34th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/FOD in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Franklin Lamont “Frank” Bailey was born Sept. 8, 1921 to James T. and Mary E. Smith Bailey. He died Nov. 23, 1996 and is buried in Villisca Cemetery, Villisca, IA.

Pvt. Bailey served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry. He participated in the campaigns of Tunisia, Rome-Arno and Naples-Foggia, receiving three Bronze Battle Stars, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Defense Service Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon and six Overseas Bars.

Delmar Eugene Baker was born Mar. 5, 1920 to Frank B. and Vina Frances Bell Baker. He died Feb. 19, 1942 (at sea) and is memorialized in Arlington Cemetery, Stanton, IA.

Petty Officer Baker served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Peary (DD-226) and was MIA/KIA near Darwin, Australia and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Everett Ernest Baker was born Aug. 3, 1922 to Guy Russell and Bessie Johnson Baker. He died Feb. 26, 1945 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, IA.

Sgt. Baker served in World War II with the U.S. Army 26th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action in Germany. He had been overseas 27 months. and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Silver Star with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Good Conduct, American Campaign , European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign with Silver Star, World War II Victory Medals and the Combat Infantryman Badge.

Arthur R. Baker was born Oct. 22, 1913. He died Oct. 13, 1994 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, OK.

MSgt. Baker served in World War II in the European Theater and also served in Korea with the U.S. Army.

James Daniel Baker was born July 3, 1920. He died May 18, 2005 and is buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, Omaha, NE.

Sgt. Baker served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was MIA while serving in the European Theater.

John Llewellyn Baker was born Dec. 9, 1922 to John Sherman and Helen Esther Dilley Baker. He died Aug. 29, 1944 and is buried in Arlington Cemetery, Stanton, IA.

Lt. Baker served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 96th Fighter Squadron and was MIA/FOD/KIA as the pilot of a P-38 (Lightning) fighter plane which departed its base on a bombing and strafing mission to the Laticana Railroad Bridge in Northern Italy. His plane was seen to hit the buildings of the railroad station, then burst into flames and crash on the street of the town, where it burned.

Laurence Albert Baker was born Aug. 24, 1925 to John Sherman and Helen Esther Dilley Baker. He died Oct. 28, 2014 and is buried in Arlington Cemetery, Stanton, IA.

Lt. Baker served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot.

Pvt. Bangston served in World War II with the U.S. Army 211th Military Police Company, participating in campaigns in New Guinea, Southern Philippines, Luzon and Japan. He received the WWII Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Service Star and the American Service Medal.

Sgt. Bangston served in World War II with the U.S. Army 108th Regiment, 40th Division and G-1 Section, Headquarters XXIV Corps. He participated in the battles at Leyte and Luzon and received the Bronze Battle Star for each of those battles, Combat Infantry Badge, Sharpshooter Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon with 1 Bronze Battle Star, WWII Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Arrowhead, Army of Occupation Ribbon for Japan and a ribbon for Korea.

Pvt. Barr served in World War II with the U.S. Army 97th Infantry, 303rd Headquarters Company.

George Wallace Bass was born Mar. 7, 1920 to George Judson and Cynthia Marilla “Marilla” Essley Bass. He died July 1, 1983 and is buried in Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo, NJ.

Sgt. Bass served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 4th Marine Division in the Pacific Theatre of Operations in the Marshall Islands, Saipan, TInian, and Iwo Jima. He was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart. He also served in Korea.
