Edwin Robert Keffer was born Dec. 7, 1913 to John P. and Lottie C. Wheeler Keffer. He died Sept. 13, 1996 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton, IA.

Sgt. Keffer served with the U.S. Army in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Thomas Raymond Kelley, Jr. was born Oct. 15, 1925 to Thomas Raymond (Sr.) and Jessie Mildred High Kelley. He died Dec. 18, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Kelley served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Spence (DD-512) which capsized and sank in a major typhoon “Typhoon Cobra” in the Philippine Sea.

Louis Warren Kellogg, Jr. was born Dec. 10, 1919 to Louis Warren (Sr.) and Louise Anne Richmond Kellogg. He died Apr. 6, 1968 and is buried in Julian Cemetery, Julian, CA.

CDR Kellogg served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Leonard L. Kelly was born Oct. 27, 1914 to George and Emma Tellin Shadle/Kelly. He died June 20, 1944 and is buried in Cedar Memorial Park, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Sgt. Kelly served in World War II with the U.S. Army 2nd Battalion, 67th Armored Division and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart for his role in the D-Day invasion on the beaches of Normandy.

William Ralph Kemble was born Feb. 27, 1897 to William Edmundson and Ida May Hensley Kemble. He died Oct. 19, 1942 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Petty Officer Kemble served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saufley (DD-465). He also served in World War I.

Kenneth served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division. Kenneth was a German POW.
