Paul Roy Hansen was born July 13, 1920 to Fred and Mary Parmelia Hafner Hansen. He died Sept. 5, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Nichols Cemetery, Nichols, IA.

Petty Officer Hansen served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and died in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

James Junior Herring was born Dec 15, 1920 to James H. (Sr.) and Ruth H. Herring. He died Dec. 7, 1941 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City, IA.

Petty Officer Herring served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Arizona (BB-39) and was MIA/FOD/KIA in the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
