James Penn Goodrich was born Dec. 6, 1914 to Harry and Stella Guthrie Goodrich. He died Oct. 9, 1944 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City, IA.

James served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Marion Llewellyn “Ferd” Green was born Oct. 3, 1920 to John Oscar and Ella Ragnhild Ekblade Green. He died Nov. 20, 2010 and is buried in Lone Tree Cemetery, Lone Tree, IA.

1st Lt. Green served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He was awarded the Air Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters. He flew a P-47 Fighter Bomber, completing 108 combat missions and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Harold Stanley Griffith was born Oct. 28, 1915. He died July 9, 1975 and has a cenotaph in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City, IA.

Harold served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Jerome Archibald Gunderson, Jr. was born in 1924 to Jerome Archibald (Sr.) and Blanche Evangeline Schell Gunderson. He died July 31, 1944 and is buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, KY. He was originally buried in St. Avold, France and returned to the U.S. in 1951.

Sgt. Gunderson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was MIA/KIA/FOD in Germany.
