Dick Jacobs was born Mar. 29, 1917 to Jacob and Alberta Schimmel Jacobs. He died Dec. 2, 1943/FOD Jan. 10, 1946 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Jacobs served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Capelin (SS-289) and was lost at sea in the sinking of his ship. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Darrell Watson Johnson was born Sept. 1, 1915 to Claude E. and Ethel Lucille McAtee Johnson. He died Mar. 2, 1965 and is buried in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton, IA.

Petty Officer Johnson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.

Jay Burdeen Jontz was born Nov. 25, 1911 to Franklin Richard and Lulu Richmond Jontz. He died Mar. 1, 1942/FOD Dec. 15, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Jontz served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Houston (CA-30) and was MIA/KIA/FOD when that ship was sunk during an engagement with enemy ships in the Java Sea. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
