Harold Henry Ristau was born June 27, 1917 to Henry David and Julia Wegner Ristau. He died Oct. 21, 1990 and is buried in LuVerne Cemetery, LuVerne, IA. 

Sgt. Ristau served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Orvin Richard Ristau was born Nov. 29, 1924 to Henry David and Julia Wegner Ristau. He died Feb. 10, 1945 and is buried in LuVerne Cemetery, LuVerne, IA. 

Pvt. RIstau served in World War II with the U.S. Army 589th Field Artillery Battalion and died as a German POW.

Clarence Thornton Roberts was born Feb. 6, 1918 to Ralph M. and Susan H. Williams Roberts. He died Nov. 20, 1943/FOD Jan. 11, 1946 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 1, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Marble Valley Cemetery, Gilmore City, IA.

Coxswain Roberts served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Independence (CVL-22) and was MIA/KIA/FOD when that vessel was torpedoed by enemy aircraft while participating in operations against Tarawa.
