Earl S. Sayer was born Aug. 19, 1914 to Christopher Robert and Augusta Martina Gabrielson Sayer. He died Dec. 31, 1942/FOD Dec. 31, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia and has a cenotaph in Eldora City Cemetery, Eldora, IA.

Sgt. Sayer served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 432nd Bomber Squadron, 17th Bomber Group, Medium and was MIA/KIA as a crew member on a B-26 aircraft which was badly damaged by intense anti-aircraft and gunfire from enemy fighter planes, while on a bombing mission over Gabes, Tunisia. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.

Milo Kenneth Shaner was born Apr. 5, 1919 to William Earl and Edith Anna Daleske Shaner. He died Aug. 15, 1948 and is buried in Eldora City Cemetery, Eldora, IA.

Milo served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Richard Neal Sharpshair was born Oct. 25, 1924 to William and Mattie Beck Sharpshair. He died Sept. 29, 1946 and is buried in Steamboat Rock Cemetery, Steamboat Rock, IA. Pvt. Sharpshair served in World War II with the U.S. Army 401st Glider Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
