Wendell served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Earl Richard Cessford was born Sept. 7, 1924 to William Bryan and Grace Marie Udell Cessford. He died May 3, 2019 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Sgt. Cessford served with the U.S. Air Force in World War II and Korea.

Roger Earl Chapin was born about 1921 to Earl C. and Florence Crow Chapin. He died Jan. 8, 1945 in Belgium and has a cenotaph in Union Cemetery, Union, IA.

Pvt. Chapin served in World War II with the U.S. Army 504th Paratroop Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division, seeing service in the invasions of Sicily, Salerno, Anzio Beach, Normandy and Belgium. He was wounded in Italy Feb. 5, 1940 and in Holland Sept. 26, 1944. He was wounded in Belgium Jan. 7, 1945 and died the next day from those wounds.

Neil Hanson Clark was born Nov. 1, 1900 to Fred Clinton and Melissa Hanson Clark. He died Dec. 28, 1970 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Union, IA

Pvt. Clark served in World War II with the U.S. Army 803rd Signal Training Regiment.

Pvt. Cochran served with the U.S. Army in World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star.

Edward Jordan and Anna Bernadette Clouston Coyle Family, Hardin County, IA

Joseph Edward Coyle was born June 15, 1918 to Edward Jordan and Anna Bernadette Clouston Coyle. He died Feb. 26, 1976 and is buried in Saint Marys Catholic Church Cemetery, Ackley, IA.

Pvt. Coyle served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was WIA on Guam.

Cpl. Coyle served in World War II with the U.S. Army 34th “Red Bull” Division and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Gerald Elmer Coyle was born Jan. 26, 1925 to Edward Jordan and Anna Bernadette Clouston Coyle. He died June 4, 1981 and is buried in Pacific Crest Cemetery, Redondo Beach, CA.

Gerald served in World War II with the U.S. Army 21st Medical Training Regiment.
