Mervin D. “Marky” Marcus was born Feb. 1, 1925 to Leroy and Johanna Braland Marcus. He died Apr. 1, 2016. Mervin served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

John Joseph “Jack” Marget was born Dec. 16, 1926 to George William and Loretta A. Wiedemeier Marget. He died Feb. 8, 2006 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carroll, IA.

Jack served in World War II with the U.S. Navy at the Naval Shipyard and Navy Supply Center, both in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He retired in 1981 as President of the First State Bank in Webster City.
