Franklin Arnold Niday was born Nov. 8, 1916 to Glen A. and Pearl Viola Clites Niday. He died Jan. 11, 2003 and is buried in Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.

Franklin served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS New Mexico (BB-40).
