William Joseph Kilpatrick, Jr. was born May 31, 1919 to William Joseph (Sr.) and Louise E. Fichter Kilpatrick. He died Feb. 4, 1998 and is buried in the United States Military Academy Post Cemetery, West Point, NY.

Col. Kilpatrick served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 483rd Bomb Group and Headquarters Continental Air Forces.
