Robert Beryl Sutton was born June 11, 1924 to Earl and Minnie Sutton. He died Apr. 3, 2013 and is buried in Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, OR.

Robert served in World War II with the U.S. Army 30th Regiment, 3rd Infantry and was awarded three Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, Silver Star, Combat Infantry, Bronze Arrowheads for Anzio and southern France, Presidential Unit Citations and French Fleur de Guere. He served as a Squad Leader and light machine gunner in Northern Africa, Anzio, Italy, and Southern France.
