Harold served in World War II with the U.S. Army Field Artillery.

Eugene E. “Gene” Sellon was born Jan. 3, 1924 to Wayne and Hazel Francis Sellon. He died July 27, 2012 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA.

Gene served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Thomas Jefferson as a landing craft crewman, participating in invasions of Algeria, Sicily and Salerno, Italy. He was wounded in action and was awarded 2 Purple Hearts.

Pvt. Selvig served in World War II with the U.S. Army 34th Division and became a German POW.
