Clifford Earl “Chip” Lockey was born Jan. 28, 1924 to Harry H. and Martha Alberta Paisley Lockey. He died Aug. 26, 2013 and is buried in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City, IA.

Chip served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saginaw Bay (CVE-82).

Byron Alvin Lockrem was born Jan. 28, 1922 to Nels J. and Ceila Jacobson Lockrem. He died Jan. 23, 1998 and is buried in Salem Memorial Cemetery, Lake Mills, IA.

Byron served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Laverne Sidney “Sid” Lorentzen was born Nov. 22, 1920 to Lars Peder and Bertha Hustel Lorentzen. He died Oct. 28, 2003 and is buried in Lutheran Cemetery, Decorah, IA.

Gunnery Sgt. Lorentzen served in World War II with the U.S. Third Marine Division, seeing combat in the Pacific in Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Guam, and iwo Jima where he was awarded the Bronze Star.

Sgt. Losee served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medics.

Earl Roger Losee was born Nov. 1, 1924 to Ira Vern and Mary J. Walster Losee. He died Aug. 28, 2001 and is buried in Hillside Cemetery, Marble Rock, IA.

Sgt. Losee served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps in a B-24 Liberator bomber against the Japanese fortifications in New Guinea, Borneo, Formosa (Taiwan) China, Vietnam and the Philippines. He was awarded two bronze stars on his Asiatic Pacific Ribbon and the Air Medal for Meritorious Achievement while in flight. He also received the Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze Star.
