Eugene Earnest “Red” LaCoste was born Jan. 8, 1920 to George Michael and Margorie Clara Shuster LaCoste. He died Feb. 22, 2014 and is buried in Rudd Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd, IA.

Red served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Gilbert William “Gib" LaCoste was born Aug. 18, 1922 to William Frederick and Emily May Gallup LaCoste. He died Jan. 31, 2008 and is buried in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City, IA.

Gilbert served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Boyer (CV-21),

Leonard Edward Lahey was born May 16, 1922 to Edward B. and Wilma Mary Lewis Lahey. He died Nov. 15, 1942, was buried at sea, and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Lahey served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS South Dakota (BB-57) and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Delbert Dale “Scratch” Laudner was born Mar. 6, 1924 to Jonathan Daniel and Ruby Leta Buckingham Laudner. He died Jan. 23, 2013 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, IA.

Delbert served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 99th Bomb Group in the European Theatre as a tail gunner on a B-17, flying 36 combat missions over the Balkans and Germany. He became a POW in Poland and Germany after his plane was shot down. He was awarded four Bronze Stars, the Air Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
