Robert Eugene Gelner was born Dec. 26, 1926 to Victor and Agnes Lillian Roach Gelner. He died July 30, 2012 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, IA.

Robert served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Rawlins (APA-226) and was with the Amphibious Force when it landed in Okinawa. He also served with the U.S. Air Force in Korea as a Personnel Specialist.

Herman Otto Gerberding was born Sept. 22, 1922 to Herman and Minnie Martha Moss Gerberding. He died Jan. 15, 2013 and is buried in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City, IA.
