Owen Marsten Hintz was born July 26, 1920 to Albert Carl and Hazel M. Hickings Hintz. He died July 4, 1944 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, IA.

Ensign Hintz served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/KIA when shot down by anti-aircraft fire while dive bombing over the Chi Chi Jima Harbor. He was awarded the Air Medal.

Elden Sverre Hjelmeng was born Aug. 25, 1923 to Sverre S. and Elva Myrtle Olesen Hjelmeng. He died Nov. 25, 1944 (at Sea) and is memorialized in West Union Cemetery, West Union, IA and at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. 

Chief Petty Officer Hjelmeng served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Intrepid (CV-11). He was buried at sea and awarded the Purple Heart.

Albert William August Hopka was born Dec. 21, 1912 to Herman and Alvina Steege Hopka. He died Sept. 13, 1943 and is buried in Saint Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Westgate, IA.

Sgt. Hopka served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II.

Donald Elmer House was born Sept. 27, 1927 to Fred Alexander and Mabel Isabel Book House. He died Dec. 25, 1947 and is buried in West Union Cemetery, West Union, IA.

Pvt. House served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps.
