Darrell Grant Vandiver was born June 1, 1912 to Percy and Katherine “Katie” Echternacht Vandiver. He died Aug. 1968 and is buried in Burlington Memorial Park, Burlington, IA.

Darrell served in World War II with the U.S. Army 107th Field Artillery, 28th Division.

Carl Henry VanEtten was born Nov. 19, 1920 to Charles C. and Ida M. Eads VanEtten. He died Dec. 16, 1997 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, West Burlington, IA.

Petty Officer VanEtten served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the DMS Bloemfontein, LST-364, USS Tambor (SS-198), USS Triton (SS-201), USS West Point (AP-23), and USS Tuna (SS-203).

Carl Francis Vorwerk was born Feb. 13, 1915 to Lawrence A. and Nellie Hagg Vorwerk. He died Nov. 1, 2003 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Burlington, IA.

Carl served in World War II with the U.S. Army 760th Tank Battalion in Sicily, Italy and North Africa.
