Delbert served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Robert Glenn Chase was born Nov. 28, 1925 to Walter Glenn and Mary Esther Willem Chase. He died Aug. 17, 1944 and is buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, IA.

Pvt. Chase served in World War II with the U.S. Army 36th Armored Infantry Regiment and was KIA at Fromental, France. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Europe-Africa-Middle East Medal, World War II Victory Medal and Combat Infantry Badge.

Petty Officer Collins served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Astoria (CA-34) which was sunk as the Battle of Savo Island. He was MIA/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Wilbur Darrell Conor was born Dec. 23, 1920 to Wilbur Volney and Mary Elizabeth Willey Conor. He died Sept. 25, 1945 and is buried in Burlington Memorial Park, Burlington, IA.

Sgt. Conor served in World War II with the U.S. Army 21st Infantry, taking part in the invasion and liberation of New Guinea and the Philippines.

Henry Merle Conor was born Sept. 8, 1925 to Wilbur Volney and Mary Elizabeth Willey Conor. He died Apr. 25, 2009.

Henry served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.

Alfred Gerald Conor was born Apr. 13, 1922 to Wilbur Volney and Mary Elizabeth Willey Conor. He died Oct. 2, 2009 and is buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, IA.

Rollin James Cowles, Jr. was born Mar. 23, 1896 to Rollin J. and Emma King Cowles. He died July 24, 1941 and is buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, IA.

He was a veteran of World War I where he served with Co. A, 2nd Provisional Ordnance Dept. ammunition supply section and served in France. He re-entered active military service in Jan. of 1941. Capt. Cowles served with the U.S. Army as Commanding Officer for Service Company, 113th Cavalry at Camp Bowie in Brownwood, TX. He died from a blood clot after developing pneumonia and suffering a heart attack.

His son, Rollin James Cowles, III was born Mar. 30, 1921 to Rollin James (Jr.) and Ruth Whitlach Cowles. He died Jan. 22, 2010 and is buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, IA.

Capt. Cowles served in World War II with the U.S. Army 113th Cavalry and attended Iowa State University after his service, obtaining his graduate degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 1950.

Loyd George Crawley was born Aug. 18, 1918 to George T. and Nina Walker Crawley. He died Dec, 1, 1996 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Burlington, IA.

MSgt. Crawley served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 6th Bomb Group, 20th Air Force, as a Flight Officer participating in B-29 raids over mainland Japan. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters and a Purple Heart.
