Milton Albert Blaul, Jr. was born May 26, 1915 to Milton Albert (Sr.) and Anna Gerdom Blaul. He died Oct. 2, 1942 and is buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, IA.

Capt. Blaul served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Navigation School at Hondo, Texas Air Field, where he became the 837th School Squadron’s Junior Commanding Officer. He died when his plane burst into flames and crashed on a night-time training exercise.

William Edward Blish was born Apr. 7, 1916 to Thomas A. and Riebe Krotzer Blish. He died June 29, 1944 and is buried in Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England.

Pvt. Blish served in World War II with the U.S. Army 456th Anti-Aircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapons) Battalion and died while in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
